Moon

hello there ;) Moon is one of my very first poems that made me feel like i had a voice worthy of sharing to the world, and maybe even a little bit of talent, haha. i feel like the words are pretty straightforward and that the meaning is quite self-explanatory, so i will refrain from giving such an in-depth deep dive into it like i did with Nomad (we need some balance, right? i don’t wanna bore you just yet!).

the moon

a guide through the night

with its illuminating light

with its nurturing, motherly aura of peace

she wants you to feel at ease

a universal connector

no matter where or what you come or came from

who you are or were as a person 

how you identify yourself

she listens, she has and will always listen

a moon

a guide through the darkest times

even in the stifling ebony that surrounds you

know that you’re not alone

everything’s going to be alright

no matter how much you’re hurting

you’ll never be a burden to her

she won’t get tired of you

she never has, and never, ever will be

she loves you unconditionally

to the moon and back

it’s her purpose

to always help you see it through

and for you to be a moon for someone, too

i hope you enjoyed it and that it made your day even the tiniest bit sweeter~
